I turn possibilities into practical solutions.

Using technology, experience, and the questions that bring clarity.

I look at how your business works, see where technology can help, and design—and sometimes build—a path forward. After decades of building systems, I know that good technology makes the work simpler. Today, AI gives me new ways to do that.

Managed

For businesses that want their technology built and run for them. For Gather Center for Well-being, that means their website and the systems behind it, with social media coming next.

C³ Workbench

It started with a simple audit: a few days tracking every app switch and context change. The numbers were not flattering. Rather than add another app, I built one place where agents, skills, knowledge, and workflows run on my own business context and rules.

I use it every day. Agents do the work, and nothing goes out until I review it.

One system of record underneath all of it

A training organization

Certification platform

As the organization grew, it needed one reliable answer to three questions: who has been trained, who can teach, and who is certified. The platform gives them one place to look, and it is still growing.

Built, in use, and still in development
A preschool curriculum company

Lesson-planning prototype

Preschool teachers are handed a curriculum and 252 state standards, then left to connect the two for a room of children who are all in different places. This prototype does the connecting, so the teacher can plan her week around each child.

An education program

Online simulation game

Reading about poverty does not show what it does to decisions. This timed game lets professionals feel that pressure firsthand, and the debrief connects it to decision fatigue. I am the program's fractional technologist and take on development work as it is needed.

Fractional technologist, ongoing

Decades of learning by doing.

I have led teams across manufacturing, finance, health insurance, and call centers, putting technology to work in everything from desktop support to telephony to network infrastructure. Often I was the translator between executives and programmers.

  1. Late 1970s Started on computers somewhere between ten and thirteen
  2. 1980s Started on the Macintosh when it first came out, doing desktop publishing
  3. Mid-1990s First tech job, at a printer, thanks to Ventura, a desktop publishing program nobody else knew
  4. 2002 Moved into IT leadership and application development
  5. 2015 Left corporate IT to start my own consulting practice
  6. 2019 Founded Journey
  7. 2026 Founded PracticalTech Advisory

What that adds up to: application design, database and systems architecture, payroll and compensation, IT leadership, workflow redesign, data redesign, data integration and automation, and AI and agents.

Let's connect.
